Jay is Vice President and Chief Government Relations officer with Trans Canada Trail, the organization that stewards Canada’s iconic multi-use trail. He has 25 years of experience in government relations, government policy and regulatory development, and holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in History from Concordia University. 

Jay is passionate about giving back the community. He has been a volunteer with WISE since 2019, and he sits on the board of the Canadian Scottish Athletic Federation. He also enjoys outdoor activities, competing in Scottish Highland Games athletics in Canada and the US, and exploring urban and rural trails at home and around the world.
