Valerie Collicott has been associated with WISE for 22 years, the first six years as a Board member serving on various committees and as Co-chair for two years.  Since 1999, Valerie has held the staff position of Policy & Administrative Coordinator.  She has represented WISE on numerous occasions at public delegations at City Hall, on external committees such as: Algonquin College Bachelor of Public Safety Advisory Committee, Pathway Patrol, City for All Women Initiative, as President on the Women’s Events Network. Valerie has also held various positions on the Ottawa Coalition to End Violence Against Women; as Steering Committee Member, Co-chair, and Advocacy Chair and Member of Public Engagement with OCTEVAW. Valerie was recognized with the Service Provider Award presented by Immigrant Women Services Ottawa in March 2014 and by the board of Directors of WISE for Exemplary Service in June 2014.
